The Skelton Thatcher Consulting team included several industry leading professionals with expertise in the best technologies to help its clients to understand, adopt and sustain good practices for building and operating software systems.
We are proud of what we achieved as a team between 2014 and 2017, so we’ve kept the team listed here.
Matthew Skelton led consulting in Continuous Delivery and Organisational Design, helping organisations to shape and evolve their teams for modern software. He is co-author of the books Continuous Delivery with Windows and .NET and Team Guide to Software Operability, and speaks regularly about software and teams at conferences around the world.
Rob Thatcher brought substantial experience in the City of London to lead consulting in the Financial Services sector with a particular focus on audit and compliance. He also advised on IT Operations, having built and run IT Ops teams for many years. Rob is co-author of the book Team Guide to Software Operability.
Jovile Bartkeviciute was our in-house researcher, whose background in technology kept our reading lists full and provided us support exploring new technology as it appears. She has been working as an administrator, manager and business coordinator since acquiring a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2011.
Manuel is a DevOps advocate with a diverse background as developer, build manager and QA lead. Manuel enjoys helping organizations adopt test automation, continuous delivery and cloud, from both technical and human perspectives. He has worked on a range of technologies (Java, .Net, web, mobile) and industries (banking, telecom, legal, defense and aviation). Co-author of the books “Team Topologies” and “Team Guide to Software Releasability”.
Richard Bosomworth has worked amongst IT systems from hardware to enterprise since 1995 and is now an AWS Certified Solutions Architect with focus for design and support of resilient web scale infrastructures and highly available database deployments. He enjoys helping organisations realise potential for efficiency and growth through adoption of cloud technologies and thinks you shouldn’t need any other operating system than Linux.
Chris has been developing software with Microsoft technologies for over 12 years. She has led teams delivering highly available Web APIs, distributed systems and cloud based services. She has also led teams developing internal build and deployment tooling using the unconventional mix of .Net codebases onto AWS infrastructure. Chris promotes practices we know as Continuous Delivery, including TDD, version control, and Continuous Integration; she brought build engineering, development and cloud knowledge to the Skelton Thatcher Consulting team.
